It's been quite a year of heavy ups & downs and the last thing on my mind was to keep reliving crap by writing it down in this blog. But seeing as I'm the type of guy that loves talking about himseld I figured I'd give this thing one more try. 3rd time's the charm.
Polly & I had a very nice get-together with family and friends this Labor Day weekend. It was nice to finally have the pool clean enough to have people enjoy it though the weather has been off-on recently. In fact, this was the coolest Summer I have ever experienced in the past 9 years of living in my home. The regular 105 F days were reduced the 80's, though there were a few weekends where it was nice enough to wade your feet int he water. But who would of wanted too... see for yourself how the water was:
Looking back at this year I guess I would say that the pool served as a metaphor for how things have come along. What I mean is that this year started very blurry, foggy, somewhat bleak in that I didn't know what was over the horizon. But now things are a lot clearer, cleaner, with a better sense as to define the direction I would like to head into when it comes to my future. At least a future with friends. Good friends...
